About Carlie Smith

Carlie, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant.

Carlie grew up in Sugar Hill, GA and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Georgia in 2019 and went on to earn her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Augusta University in 2022. During her graduate training, she was inducted into the Alpha Eta National Honor Society. Carlie began her career with the Advanced Neurosurgical Associates team at Northside Gwinnett before joining Athens Orthopedic Clinic. She works alongside Dr. Mitchel Leavitt in Interventional Pain Management, where she is dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Outside of work, Carlie enjoys playing tennis, spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Dawgs, and traveling. She lives in Jefferson, Georgia with her husband, Ashton, and their golden retriever, Allie.
